Each ingredient offers something beneficial to your skin. Sugar is a natural exfoliate, helpful in removing dead skin cells. Honey is hydrating and contains antioxidants. It has been a well known beauty treatment since the days of Cleopatra. Green tea contains flavonoid polyphenols which combat aging. Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, and Grapeseed Oil all contain vitamin E and are extremely moisturizing for your skin.
1 cup Organic Granulated Sugar
½ cup local raw Honey
3 Green Tea Bags, or the equivalent of loose leaves
1/3 cup Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, or Grapeseed Oil
1 airtight Glass Jar or other container
Essential Oil, optional
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl, mix thoroughly to incorporate well. You want your final result to be a thick, smooth paste. I love the smell just as it is, but feel free to add a few drops of your favorite 100% natural essential oil to customize it to your liking.
Scoop out a small amount, apply to a wet face, scrubbing in circles, especially in your T Zone area. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Rinse well, and moisturize as usual. While this is gentle enough for your face, you can also use this as an all over body scrub for a really invigorating experience!
